The standardization committee of the Ghana Football Federation has ordered the temporary ban of Dr. Amo Sarpong, head of the Asante Kotoko club of all activities related to football.
This decision became necessary because of his alleged involvement in a regrettable gun incident that occurred during the eighth day match between Berekum Chelsea FC and Asante Kotoko SC played on Sunday 28th April 2019 at the Golden Berekum City Park.
This order is without prejudice to the determination of the case pending before the GFA Discipline Committee and the Berekum Police Command.
In the meantime, the GFA Discipline Committee was instructed to hear the case in accordance with the GFA Regulation.
