According to new research, women who drink coffee, red wine and regularly eat fruits and vegetables may have better defense against bad cancer.

A new study by the European Congress on Obesity in Glasgow found that the risk of postmenopausal bad cancer could be reduced among women with this diet.

Coffee, wine, fruits, vegetables and whole grains contain phenolic acids, which have a protective effect against cancer.

Raspberries, blueberries, apples, citrus fruits, plums, onions, cocoa and whole wheat rice, corn and oats are rich sources of phenolic acids.

The study involved 11,028 women with bad cancer and the amount of phenolic acid they consumed, including hydroxycinnamic and hydroxybenzoic acids.

The researchers found that the risk of cancer was reduced by 65% ​​in women consuming such products.

Scientists from the University of Navarra and the University of Jaen in Spain have discovered 101 cases of bad cancer among the group of women during an average follow-up of nearly 12 years.

All women were asked to complete a food questionnaire at the beginning of the study, indicating the frequency with which they ate 136 different foods.

Then, they were divided into three groups based on their consumption of phenolic acids, those with the largest consumers of hydroxycinnamic acids (a type of phenolic acid found in nature) with a risk of bad cancer reduced by 62% compared to those with the lowest intakes. .

Chlorogenic acids, a type of hydroxycinnamic acid found in coffee, fruits and vegetables, had the most powerful effect.

The researchers said the diet could eventually reduce fat tissue inflammation, as oxidative stress can damage tissue or insulin resistance.

They concluded: "A higher intake of hydroxycinnamic acids, particularly chlorogenic acids – present in coffee, fruits and vegetables – was badociated with a decreased risk of postmenopausal bad cancer."
