Aaron Ramsey sends an emotional message to fans of Arsenal after the shock of a devastating injury

Aaron Ramsey confirmed that he was playing his last game for Arsenal after being injured at home against Napoli.

The Welsh international spent 11 years with the North London club after joining the Gunners as a Cardiff teenager.

Ramsey, who is the first to join Juventus in free transfer at the end of the season, will remain in the story as one of the club's biggest midfielder having scored two winning goals in the FA Cup final .

Unai Emery hoped that the 28-year-old would be available for a possible final in the Europa League against Chelsea or Eintracht Frankfurt, but confirmed earlier Thursday that there would be no fairy tails ending Ramsey Arsenal's career.

Ramsey wrote on Instagram: "It saddens me to say that the match against Naples was my last match in Arsenal's jersey.

'Unfortunately, I had an injury that prevented me from playing the remaining games. I'm really disappointed not to play to the end and give everything to the club as long as I'm still an Arsenal player. This is unfortunately out of my reach, but I wanted to thank the fans for your support.

"It's a trip, on and off the field, and so much has happened in eleven years. I was a young bristly boy who was coming and I leave a married man, father of three boys and full of pride and good memories that I will cherish.

"It will be an emotional weekend, my last home game. I can not wait to see you there and I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for everything. "
