Ghana Technology University College (GTUC) launched the International Journal of Technology and Entrepreneurship to, among other things, strengthen research collaborations.
The journal is designed and developed by the University's Office of Research and Innovation Services (ORSI) and other stakeholders.
The peer review, which will be published twice a year, is expected to enhance the University's brand locally and globally.
The first edition of the journal is in hard copy. However, the following editions will be published electronically via a dedicated platform.
Professor Emmanuel Ohene Afoakwa, president of the GTUC, said at the launch that the International Review of Technology and Entrepreneurship creates a platform to encourage key members of the institution, particularly the teachers, to understand the importance of scientific publications for the growth of each institution of higher education. .
"The scientific publication improves the status of the University's ranking, facilitates academic and research collaborations, increases the number of enrolled students, creates funding opportunities and, overall, strengthens the University profile worldwide.
"It is in this regard that I also encourage students and lecturers in the university community to take full advantage of the resources available to the ORSI," he said.
He added that ORSI was able to provide full support to students, faculty and staff in the administration of all research projects.
He added that the center also offers professional administrative services to the University College research community by providing information on funding opportunities, badisting in the preparation and submission of proposals, contributing to the post-award report and to regulatory compliance, by organizing workshops and seminars for faculty and staff.
Prof Afoakwa said that GTUC remains focused on improving its brand both internationally and locally. stating that management would continue to badist respective departments and faculties to show the world the value of learning at GTUC and the potential that we could achieve.

Minister of Communications Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, special guest of honor, was represented by Deputy Minister of Communications George Andah.
Mr Andah said that the entrepreneurial spirit had increased significantly at the local and global levels, noting that it was the foundation of all economies.
He said that the role of entrepreneurship in providing innovative solutions to community issues such as transportation, education and the provision of amenities could not be underestimated.
