President Wontumi
Bernard Antwi Boasiako, regional president of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), said President Wontumi had instructed Ghanaians to prepare for "good news" because corrupt officials under the Mahama government would soon be imprisoned.
The event followed a busy sports walk in the main streets of the Asawase riding, which started at the Aboabo Post Office and ended at Grunsah Park.
Various sectors of the party, including identifiable groups and fun clubs, attended the event in the thousands, dressed in clothes for NPP and chanting songs of the latter.
President Wontumi has warned the flag bearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and former President John Dramani Mahama to give up his ambition to annex the presidency again because the Ghanaians would not allow any "corrupt" person to return to this post.
He said that "the corruption is in the blood of John Mahama because his father pbaded it on to himself and affected all his brothers and members of the NDC".
