A one – year – old boy disappeared in Adjei Kojo, near Ashaiman, in the Greater Accra region.
The incident occurred on Wednesday.
The boy was last seen at home in a cream blue top and navy blue pants.
The boy's family suspects that it was stolen by a lady while he was playing with his older brother.
Abdul Razak Mohammed, uncle of the stolen boy, told Citi News that the suspect had stolen him after deceiving his older brother, telling him that his father was looking for him.
"He was taken from his home between 5:30 pm and 6 pm According to the older brother, they were playing outside when a lady came to see him and said that his father was calling him. When the father asked where the little brother was and that they rushed out, the little boy was not there. And the lady who told her that her dad called her was not there either.
"So we badumed that was the woman who took the baby. Father called the police station and they said we should come this morning [Thursday]Said the uncle of the missing boy.
Such stories are increasingly popular in the media lately, in the midst of confirmed incidents of kidnappings in different parts of the country.
The country's police are on the alert for crimes such as President Akufo-Addo said the government plans to tackle in depth the phenomenon that, he said, is alien to the social fabric of Ghana.
