The Director General of the National Program for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (NEIP) said that his team is about to provide the main bearers of the seed capital of the country with the helping to start their own business.
According to John Kumah, the president had ordered the award of an amount of 2 million GHc to major carriers known as "Kayayei".

Speaking after a march of health organized by the New Patriotic Party in the Ashanti region, Mr John Kumah said that NEIP, in collaboration with the Ministry of Business Development, is employing to transform the lives of porters across the country.
"The next project that the Office of the President, Department of Enterprise Development and our team are about to achieve is that of Kayayei Business entrepreneurs. The president said we should give 2 million Ghanaian cedis to serve as seed money for major carriers across the country. "
He also said that another billion GHc had been released to women entrepreneurs with disabilities.
In total, he said that an amount of $ 100 million had been set aside by the government to help combat youth unemployment in the country.
"As part of his promise to reduce the unemployment rate in the country, President Akufo-Addo has earmarked $ 100 million to help meet the challenge of youth unemployment."
