Ole Gunnar Solskjaer plans to turn his Manchester United team up to £ 250 million when the summer transfer window opens.
The boss of the Red Devils is reorganizing his team of players with several people ready to give space to newcomers to Old Trafford.
Antonio Valencia is one of the Manchester United players en route to the exit, while Solskjaer has drawn up a list of goals to strengthen his troubled team.
Jesse Lingard will survive the reform of Carrington and the English star has revealed the man with whom he dreams of playing alongside the Red Devils.
He said to the mirror: "I would like [Manchester United] sign [Cristiano] Ronaldo. He has been one of the best players in the world over the past decade.
"He had been here before, so he would come back to the room.
"Growing up, it was just amazing to look under a United shirt, so on a personal note, it would be great to play with him."
Manchester United has not kept pace with the Premier League this season, while Liverpool and Manchester City have escaped with competition.
But Lingard is confident that the Red Devils will be able to return to the mix of the next campaign if they start on the front of the stage.
Lingard added: "We have to hold a series of games as we did between January and April, I think we were on a par with both if not better.
"You have to start the season quickly, otherwise you are constantly catching up, so yes, a quick start."
