Maafia reportedly died in the United States on May 1, 2019
Maa Afia Konadu, a former mid-morning popular broadcaster, Asomdwe Nkomo, of Peace FM, Accra, has died.
According to reports, she died on Wednesday, May 1 in the United States of America after a short illness.
Maafia, as he was commonly known, retired in 2015 after working for about 10 years with the group Yet, owner of Peace FM.
She started as a teacher and then went to work with the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation.
Maafia was later invited by Dr. Osei Kwame to help manage Peace FM, which is now a dynamic radio station in Ghana.
Maafia won the admiration of Ghanaians because of the impact she had with her show, Asodwe Nkomo.
