Tiger Woods is more warm and friendly on tour than ever before, but apparently still has a limit with Bubba Watson.
Watson was on "The Dan Patrick Show" and stated that he thought Woods had blocked his lyrics because he had the habit of spamming him with "random stuff".
"It's probably already blocked me before," Watson said. "He's changing his number a bit."
Watson explained that he enjoys participating in team events such as the Ryder Cup because all golfers have their respective phone numbers so they can start sending messages to groups. Watson had the habit of disturbing Woods by sending him texts about random and benign things.
"I send him so many text messages," Watson said. "I'm sending him so much stuff." Just random stuff. "Look here." Here's a bottle of water, "Here's this." So maybe that's why he's blocking me. "
"But this week we're in a team together, I like to send him random stuff. It's like: Can you stop, please?"
Watson later explained that he and Woods were close and often practiced together. Watson was one of the many golfers at the Masters to celebrate Woods' victory. He revealed that he had been crying in the locker room.
"It was a thrill," Watson said. "When you talk about golf, what a recession, what momentum for golf, what an impetus for sport in general, it's quite spectacular to see a guy get through all these things and come back to play at a high level."
Watson said that he had sent Woods a text message a few days after the Masters to remind him of their practices together. Apparently, his number was not blocked that day.
