Edward Adeti, a reporter for Starr FM, residing in Bolgatanga, was broken into three days after his investigation, which led to the resignation of Rockie State Minister Ayine Bukari.
The intruders managed to take with them a TV in the living room after breaking a burglar proof on one of the windows.
The move comes after two people went to the local Bolgatanga radio station to urge some residents to attack Adeti after the former minister of the Upper East East region resigned. Both people took to the air this week to describe the investigation as an act of treason.
The journalist's wife and their children reported to the police.
"Perhaps they are looking for evidence of the investigation," Starrfm.com.gh Adeti, currently on an official mission in Accra, said shortly after being informed of the burglary on Thursday, May 2, 2019.
Bukari resigned after attempting to bribe Mr. Adeti so that he kills an investigation on a Chinese mining company, Shaanxi Mining Ghana Limited, and the highest judge of the Far East Region, Judge Jacob B. Boon.
Last week, a videotape appeared involving Mr. Bukari in a plan coordinated by high-ranking personalities to abandon a cover story produced by Starr FM's reporter.
He admitted in his resignation letter that he was "indiscreet".
"I do this on principle, being indiscreet and having exercised a judgment contrary to what I told you to defend and require of your servants in the management of this country. I sincerely regret any inconvenience that my indiscretion might have caused, "Bukari said in his letter.
"I wish to express my sincere gratitude for the trust that has been bestowed on me and take this opportunity to badure you of my loyalty and unwavering support for you and the Government," he concluded. in his letter.
