This is the first official announcement of the new arrival of Lively and Reynolds.
In Detective PikachuReynolds plays a clever version, Sherlock Holmes-hat, of the character of the beloved children. He is hired to help a young man find his father.
Ryan Reynolds is the first look at Inspector Pikachu.
"I think we all knew that I would become a miniature detective by repeating the same words," Reynolds commented on Twitter. "I just did not think it would be so fast."
Detective Pikachu arrives in New Zealand cinemas on May 16th.
