Tadi Concerned Mothers Josephine Amo said the decision should not be the end of the trial

The Association of Concerned Mothers of Ghana set up signs this morning around the Kwame Nkrumah roundabout in the metropolis of Sekondi-Takoradi to demand the immediate return of the three girls abducted last year.

According to the official, Josephine Amo would have been made necessary by the recent sentencing of the alleged kidnapper, Samuel Wills, by a trial court in the Takoradi district.

She added that the sentence should not be the end of the case, but rather an opening on the substantial case of kidnapping as well as the immediate release of the girls in their family.

Some signs say: "Police, go up to your game, Ghanaians look at you, Ghana police, Cid bring our girls," among others.

The inability of police and other security agencies to track down girls kidnapped last year has resulted in increased criticism and apprehension.

Similarly, an online petition to increase the pressure on the police service has collected over 1,000 signatures. – Ohene Gyan
