Kofi Adams, former national organizer of the NDC
The former organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kofi Adams, said the Akufo-Addo government is only filled with people with criminal ideas whose intentions are to destroy what others built, ABC News Ghana can report.
"We do not have a government in Ghana, we have a collection of people with criminal ideas. They intentionally break the pots. Their intention is not to go for water and bring it home and along the line, maybe a pot breaks. We just have criminals who can not take the country anywhere, "he said at the rally attended by ABC News Ghana.
The opposition NDC, as part of its measures to regain power in the 2020 general elections, launched a door-to-door campaign in Accra on 1 May.
The campaign, dubbed "John Dramani Mahama's 2020 Door-to-Door Campaign Team", aims to ensure that all members of the general public are aware of the CND's policy and fully understand it before the elections. of 2020.
The former organizer insisted on the need for party supporters to "stand up" in order to secure the NDC's victory.
Speaking at the launch, Mr. Joshua Akamba, the party's national party organizer, also advised party leaders to pay special attention to grbadroots members at the grbadroots level in order to ensure 39, attract more people to the NDC.
"It's a moment in time when we have to venerate our grbadroots members. When your party is in power and you suffer, nothing can even encourage people to join you. When lives are transformed at branch level, this will allow more people to join your party, "he explained.
He reiterated that the NDC was ready to return to bring the country back to where it was.
"… We will take the country back to where it is. The right time will come and at the right time, the NDC will strike, "he added.
Despite efforts to rejuvenate its base, the NDC struggled, especially under John Dramani Mahama, to appeal to the Ghanaian electorate. The election of new party leaders seems to have done little to remedy the situation.
Former President John Mahama suffered the worst possible electoral defeat, the first ever organized for a President of the Republic, under the 2016 parliamentary elections. He managed to question 44.40% against 53.85% for Nana. Akufo-Addo
