Real Madrid is confident that there will be an agreement with Chelsea on Eden Hazard by the end of the season, according to reports reported in Spain.

The Belgian international is one of Zinedine Zidane's main targets before the transfer slot of the summer and Madrid has already had long discussions to reach an agreement.

Marca reports that Zidane is "desperate" to bring Hazard to the Santiago Bernabeu and an agreement between Chelsea and Madrid is "on the right track".

Chelsea still hopes to receive 140 million euros in transfer fees for the 28-year-old, although he has only one year left on his contract this summer.

But if the price asked by Chelsea has not yet been reached, the president of Madrid, Florentino Perez, privately accepts that he will beat the transfer record of the club to sign Hazard.

Marca also said that Madrid was optimistic that an early transfer could be completed and marked May 12 – the last day of the Premier League season – as a potential day to announce the deal.

But this date is likely to be postponed because the season of Madrid would not have been completed, while Chelsea is about to reach the final of the Europa League, which will take place on May 29.
