Cristiano Ronaldo opens his doors on the conviction for tax evasion and the pressure exerted on Juventus

Cristiano Ronaldo said that he had been forced to face "extra pressure" on Juventus after his move from Real Madrid this summer.

The 34-year-old is about to finish his first season in Serie A after his transfer of £ 100 million from the Spanish giants last summer.

This transfer put an end to Ronaldo's nine-year stay at the Bernabeu. The Portuguese international has thus become the club's top scorer with 451 competitive goals.

His charm in Madrid also allowed him to win four Golden Balls, while he was helping Los Blancos to win 15 major trophies, including two La Liga crowns and four Champions League titles.

Despite Juventus' disappointing exit in Europe against Ajax, Ronaldo's first year in Italy was also a success: the striker scored 20 goals in the league to help Max's team Allegri to win Serie A title.

Despite all his achievements, the winner of the five-time Gold Ballon Award admits that he still has to prove his abilities to other people.

He told ICON Spanish magazine, via Marca: "I will not deny that I am sometimes bored and tired, because it seems to me that every year I have to prove that I am very good.

"It's difficult, you have extra pressure to prove something to people and it's not only for you, but for your mother, your son.

"It makes you more active, you have to train, but there comes a time when you have to say, look, let me be …"

Although Ronaldo had a great success at Real Madrid on the field, his time at the club was marred by many problems.

The Portuguese admitted to committing tax fraud while they were playing for the Spanish giants. They settled the case in a court in January after accepting a £ 16.5 million fine and a suspended prison sentence.

However, the 34-year-old insists that this episode has had little impact on his warm feelings towards Madrid and its inhabitants, who decided to open a hairdressing clinic in the city.

"The Spaniards have treated me well," he said.

"I wanted to give them jobs, regardless of the possibility [tax] I had problems with the Treasury, because I can not forget or hide.
