Michelle Pfeiffer, Lucas Hedges and Tracy Letts Join the Comedy "French Exit" – Variety

Before the announcement of the Cannes Film Festival, Michelle Pfeiffer, Lucas Hedges and Tracy Letts signed to play in the comedy "French Exit".

Azazel Jacobs ("Terri") is linked to a screenplay by Patrick deWitt ("The Brothers Sisters"), taken from his international best-selling book of the same name, selected for the Scotiabank Giller Prize. Rocket Science by Thorsten Schumacher finances and produces the film, as well as Elevation Pictures.

Pfeiffer will play a 60-year-old Manhattan cashless woman whose husband has been dead for 20 years. Once her vast heritage disappeared, she cashes her last possessions and decides to live anonymously in twilight apartments in a modest Paris apartment, accompanied by her son without direction (interpreted by Hedges) and the incarnation of her husband. the family cat, expressed by Letts.

Pfeiffer recently appeared in "Ant-Man and the Wasp" and "Murder on the Orient Express". She will be seen alongside Angelina Jolie and Elle Fanning in Disney's "Evil Man: Mistress of Evil". Pfeiffer has been nominated for Oscars for her roles in The Fabulous Baker Boys, Love Field and Dangerous Liaisons.

Hedges received an Oscar nomination for his role in "Manchester by the Sea" and a Golden Globe nomination for his performance in "Boy Erased". He holds credits for "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri" and "Lady Bird".

Letts is a Pulitzer and Tony Award winner with credits on "The Post", "The Big Short" and "Lady Bird". He is currently in post-production on "Ford v. Ferrari ".

Jacobs wrote and directed "The Lovers", with Debra Winger and Letts, and "Terri", with Jacob Wysocki and John C. Reilly, which was written by deWitt.
