View of the third stage of the Yorkshire Tour 2019: route, map, timetables, bus routes from Bridlington to Scarborough

The third day of the Yorkshire Tour will see the winner of the crowned women's race, which could prove to be a crucial day in the men's movement.

The two races will run 132 km between Bridlington and Scarborough via Whitby, a route from the east coast of Yorkshire that should bring crosswinds that could decimate the peloton.

Lizzie Deignan has admitted to having found the first stage of Friday difficult so it is likely that some Dutch stars such as Marianne Vos and Anna van der Breggen are fighting for the victory.

The men's race is open, Jesper Asselman, winner of the first stage, still wearing the leader's blue jersey but only takes a few seconds on most of the peloton.

The bumpy profile of this stage should surely appeal to the most courageous runners like last year's winner, Greg van Avermaet.

Day three road

The stage starts in Bridlington and heads north to Whitby, before returning south and ending in Scarborough. It is 132 km long, like the road on Friday, but is much more difficult with the coastal winds likely to break the ground and five climbs clbadified for navigation.
