According to reports, the Black Stars would begin non-residential camping from Monday, May 27, in anticipation of the 2019 African Nations Cup (AFCON), which will be held in Egypt.

Non-residential camping would end at the beginning of June, paving the way for intensive camping outside of Ghana.

Ghana is set to set up camp in Abu Dhabi, UAE, to refine preparations for the competition.

Before the competition, Ghana should face three African countries in a friendly match, to evaluate the team as the four-time CAN champions vie for a fifth title.

The Black Stars will be based in Ismailia, where they will play two games and move to Suez for their last group match.

Ghana is paired with defending champions Cameroon, Benin and Guinea-Bissau in Group F for the three-week tournament.
