The glorious girls of Jesus at the launch
The Gospel group, Girls of Glorious Jesus, has launched activities to celebrate its 30th anniversary in the music industry with a launch at the Golden Tulip Hotel on Wednesday, May 1st.
The trio composed of Cynthia Appiadu, Edna Sarpong and Monica Owusu-Ansah has brought us over the years 12 incredible albums with many hit songs such as Bebre, Ahintabea, Yesu Fata Ayeyi, Twediampong Nyame, Edin No and Mebo Wo Da Daa , among others.
The Director General of First Insurance Limited, Mr. Stephen Abebrese; The President of the Union of Musicians of Ghana (MUSIGA), Bice Osei Kuffour and other Gospel musicians; Diana Hammond, DSP Kofi Sarpong, Tagoe Sisters, Abena Serwaa Ophelia, among others.
During the event, Cynthia Appiadu shared some memories of their difficult times at the ministry and expressed gratitude to God for the success of their career.
"This year marks the 30th anniversary of the group that has formed to spread the word of God through music. When we started this trip, we never thought that a day would come when we would celebrate our 30 years of ministry.

"The road was not easy. I remember that, in 1992, we were supposed to produce at the launch of the Tagoe Sisters album. Our car had a serious accident but, to the glory of God, none of us were hurt.
"We went straight to the hospital, they did a checkup and we went to the show to perform. Through all this, God has been faithful and good for us, "she said.
Cynthia Appiadu also revealed that the celebration marked not only 30 years of ministry, but also a tireless contribution to the career and development of many Gospel musicians.
The Director of First Insurance Company Limited, Mr. Stephen Abebrese, congratulated the Glorious Jesus Daughters for their immense contribution to the music industry. He also urged Ghanaians to take an active part in the celebration called "Glorious 30 years".
"These beautiful women have had an impact on the music industry in one way or another; Thirty years of transformational impact in the lives of Ghanaians and I am happy to celebrate them today.
"They spread the word of God through the music they created and mentored emerging musicians. Everyone can attest that he has built a legacy that deserves to be celebrated and I urge all Ghanaians to get involved in this celebration of his birthday, "he said.
Glorious's 30th anniversary activities include the Glorious 30 Gala scheduled for July 7th.
The Girls' Foundation 3 will also be launched that day to help the less fortunate of society.
Others are a campaign on sanitation, a tour of Europe in May and June, a US tour in June and July, and regional tours in Ghana in November and December.
