American food company recalls chicken strips after metal-related fears

Millions of pounds of chicken strips were recalled, fearing that they would be contaminated with metal.

Tyson Foods, an American food manufacturer, recalled 11.3 million pounds (5.3 million kg) of frozen chicken strips.

Six people complained after finding pieces of metal in the products, three of them wounded in the mouth.

Tyson also recalled 36,000 pounds of chicken nuggets in January, fearing contamination with rubber.

On Saturday, the Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) of the United States Department of Agriculture announced the extension of this recall.
