A 24-year-old man removed part of his skull after a horror crash as he headed for Chippy

A man was left unable to talk, eat and walk after a late night drive to a trendy place, as his dinner ended in tragedy.

Ryan Womack, 24, was seriously injured and barely recognizes his mother after the car accident of October 2018.

He suffered severe brain damage and became paralyzed. He now lives in a retirement home in Ormskirk, West Lancashire.

Ryan, who works as a tree-surgeon, left his friend's house to pick up food in a chippy area of ​​Manchester, reported Lancs Live.

He allegedly misinterpreted a bend and hit three parked cars before hitting a nearby garden.

Mom Helen said, "We were told that he was touched and that he was going to go there. The police told us that we had to go to the hospital because he might not get there.

"We arrived in Manchester and I remember the doctor telling us," If we do this, he will never be Ryan again. "

"I just told him to do what he had to do, I would do anything for him to live."

The doctors practiced a craniotomy on Ryan, which consists of removing part of his skull to relieve the swelling of his brain.

This saved Ryan's life, but the operation prevented him from talking or eating.

According to some sources, he has frequented many residences for the elderly and re-education centers.

It was considered to have a plaque after the craniotomy, but the plaque was infected and had to be removed.

Ryan has suffered several other infections and illnesses in recent months due to various operations. He still lives without part of his skull.

Helen is now trying to raise £ 10,000 to take care of her son at home. The money includes building an extension in their home to give Ryan a room, toilet and care facilities downstairs.

She said, "I do not think he really recognizes us.

"He recognizes me as his mother, I think, he sometimes holds my hand and plays with my hair but on other occasions, there is nothing there."

Helen has also organized several upcoming events, including a Fifa tournament, a family entertainment day at the Bamber Bridge and an exclusive Grove Park tour (both taking place this weekend from Aug. 3-4).

The Greater Manchester Police issued a statement following Ryan 's accident, in which she stated that she was calling for more information about what had happened.
