A fake doctor who cheated a woman encountered online about 100,000 GHc (£ 15,000) saying that it was for their marriage at Dorchester has been jailed for 18 months.

Mohamad Yousef, 37, used his photo in medical scrubs for his appointment profile and claimed to be a hospital doctor when he met the woman in May 2017.

A month later, they were betrothed and convinced his victim to take a 100,000 GHc loan and transfer 5,000 GHc (£ 800) of his savings to cover the cost of their big day. Once the money got, Yousef disappeared, heard the Wood Green Court of Honor.
