The Public Affairs Department of Cape Coast University, in conjunction with the Global Wings Tour Limited, has organized a blood drive exercise to store the blood bank of the University of Cape Coast.

The University of Cape Coast Hospital is one of the first points of contact for victims of accidents and emergencies in the metropolis of Cape Coast before their transfer to the University Hospital of Cape Coast.

According to UCC Public Affairs, their partnership with Global Wings Tours will allow them to get the UCC blood bank is filled to save the lives of children and to meet other urgent needs.

Samuel Amoah, badistant scientist at the medical laboratory responsible for the UCC hospital lab, said the move had added 100 pints of blood to his blood bank and that it would greatly contribute to the proper functioning of the hospital. ;hospital.

"We are indeed very happy with this gesture. This will help us at least add a few gallons of blood to our stock.

"Blood has never been made anywhere, it is among us who must donate blood to support the save lives effort of many hospitals, "he said.

He advised the general public to at least show his love by donating blood at least every holiday.

"When you give blood, it not only helps you and your hospitals, but you also receive a donor card that automatically qualifies you and your family to receive blood when needed," he added. .

The leader of the exercise, Samuel Odua Quarmyne, has called on the general public to incorporate blood donation into their annual plans to help save the lives of people who may need blood.

"Our lives are not controlled by us. One moment you are bubbling with life and the next moment you could be in the hospital and need blood to save your life. If you are a donor, you will not miss it, "he said.
