Students were instructed not to attend a Gold Coast school after returning a student from a trip to Southeast Asia with measles.
Queensland Health has asked King & # 39; s Christian College of Reedy Creek that any student who is not immune to the disease must stay out of school until the 3rd. August.

Queensland Health provided the school with a list of students known to be vaccinated against the disease, while others received notes asking them to provide proof of immunity.
Students who are not immunized against measles will be encouraged to study online.

"A good part of the day was devoted to the processing of vaccination certificates.
"We have done almost everything now and tomorrow, we should get back to normal."
Public warning
The Gold Coast Public Health Unit said that a handful of people could have been exposed to the patient Sunday in the waiting room of Robina Hospital's emergency department.
"The public health office contacts people who may have been in contact with the person who visited a number of other places during the course of the infection," the office said in a statement.
André Wattiaux, GCSPH staff specialist, said: "This reflects the fact that the better we have the better vaccination rates, the easier it is to control these situations."
Australia has registered 79 measles cases in the first quarter of 2019, five more cases than the 2015 total and 103 cases as of 2018, according to the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
Symptoms of measles
People were asked to monitor the first symptoms of measles, including fever, lethargy, runny nose, cough, and sore red eyes.
A few days later, there is a reddish, spotted rash that often starts on the face and then spreads over the body.
The measles vaccine is provided free of charge to anyone born after 1965.
King's Christian College has about 2,500 students ranging from preparation to grade 12.
