A Celtic fan got so carried away during the Old Firm derby celebration that he took a toddler to the field.

The Hoops beat the Rangers 2-1 with a late goal from James Forrest, after Ryan Kent's shot seemed to have saved one point for their 10-man opponents.

Celtic took the lead in the 27th minute when Odsonne Edouard's goal gave them the lead, before Gers forward Alfredo Morelos received a controversial red card.

Edward's goal caused crazy celebrations among home fans, with supporters climbing the field in jubilation.

A member of the crowd climbed the palisades surrounding the field and could be seen jumping up and down while clinging to a young fan.

The chaos hurt a female steward in the fray and she had to be seen on the side of the field before taking it away with colleagues.

Moments later came the flashpoint involving Morelos, who responded to Scott Brown's provocation by throwing an elbow in his direction.

The Celtic skipper Brown has been thrown to the ground, despite seemingly little contact, before referee Bobby Madden shows Morelos his fifth red card this season.

It was a hostile atmosphere at Celtic Park, where both sides were fighting for victory.

And indeed, it seemed that the 10-man Rangers could win, as they pushed forward in numbers and had several opportunities to score.

However, it was the home team that won the deciding match, Forrest returning the ball home with five minutes left.

At the end of the match, the lyrics were tense. Andy Halliday, of the Rangers, confronted Brown about his previous conduct, the two men being separated by their teammates.

The victory extends Celtic's lead to the top 13 points more than his rivals.
