The West Regional Police Command has set up a committee to investigate allegations of the suspect in the Takoradi abduction case that an officer of the Investigations Department criminals (CID) had helped him escape from custody.

Presiding Judge Michael Kudjo Ampadu did not oppose the prosecutor's argument that it would be difficult to identify the IDC officer.
However, the court adjourned the case on February 18, 2019.
