Elneny's father, Nbader, discovered a man's body when he went to Mahalla al-Kubra's villa, according to the BBC.
Police said that the man was trying to steal electrical cables in the property before being electrocuted.
Eleneny's family recently turned the house over to a charity for use as an office.
The 27-year-old would have been informed of what happened on the phone.
The story follows a car hijacking attempt by Sead Kolasinac and Mesut Ozil, a crewmate of the Eleneny Gunners, by an armed gang in London last week.
