NASHVILLE, Tennessee (WVLT) – Well, it's something you do not see every day. Life-size dinosaurs taking control of someone. It's a show you can see in the Bellevue area in Nashville.
It attracts a lot of attention.
According to our sister station, WTVF, George Boedecker, founder of Crocs Shoe, owns the property.
"It has become quite the Bellevue phenomenon and the talk of the city," said Darah Kerpka, who stopped to see the dinosaurs with her sons Jack and Cutler.
In addition, on the property, visitors can see replicas of a lion, a tiger and a bear sitting right next to the gate.
The photos were shared repeatedly on social media sites as the number of pages displayed increased.
"It's just around the corner of my house," Kerpa said. "It's really cool, I wonder if there's something bigger in the work."
The property is owned by George Boedecker, founder of the Crocs Shoe Company and the Boedecker Foundation. He added that the three dinosaurs were custom-made by an artist he had met while working for philanthropy for his founding in Mexico. The entire project was carried out taking into account his grandchildren.
The figure of the tiger lurking near the door may seem familiar to some. Three years ago, he was exhibited at another property owned by Boedecker in East Nashville. He received a similar positive response.
Boedecker has announced plans to bring five Velociraptors to the property. He also wants to expand the driveway so that people can park and make the adjustments safely.
He hopes the prehistoric tribute will continue to be a source of joy for the community.
