Accra, March 26, GNA –
Mr. Joseph Kpemka, Member of Parliament for Tempane, called for financial badistance.
support for the wounded and the bereaved families of the Kintampo road
accident.

According to him, some
wounded still hospitalized in Kintampo and Techiman
hospitals and would require additional treatment in Accra and elsewhere.

Mr. Kpemka, who is also
the Deputy Minister of Justice and Attorney General appealed during a
media interview in Parliament in Accra.

Early Friday last
fatal accident in Ampomakrom in the district of Kintampo-Sud
the Bono Est area following a head-on collision between two
pbadenger buses killed 57 people.

Mr. Kpemka so
appealed to charities and non-governmental organizations
ways to help injured people and bereaved families to organize
funerals for their deceased parents.

He explained that
about 53 people who died in the Kintampo accident were from Garu and
Tempane constituencies in the Upper Easter region.

He said the member from
Garu, Mr. Albert Akuka Alalzuuga was already in his constituency and that he
will join him on Thursday to sympathize with bereaved families.

Mr. Kpemka also stated
that he was now focusing on financial support to the wounded
and bereaved families adding that some of the victims of the accident had also left
behind the dependents who had to be abducted.
