A "too exuberant" fan rushed into the ring and rugby clashed with WWE legend Bret "The Hitman" Hart on the floor during a ceremony at the Hall of Fame at New York..
The former wrestling superstar was making his thank-you speech at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, when a young fan came charging from the crowd, slipped into the ring and was jumped on Hart.
The 61-year-old was inducted for the second time and, although the live coverage was interrupted, images were released showing the approach of the fans, Hart, before a major security team – joined by the # 39; mixed martial artist Travis Browne – rushing to the old pro help.
Browne is thought to have hit several times before pulling him out of the ring and was hailed on social media for his quick reactions.
One person tweeted: "There are currently 10,000 people in Barclays, there are 9,999 that you want to hit before Travis Browne."
While one second added: "Travis Browne deserves a place in the 2019 Royal Rumble".
According to some information, Hart could have returned to the ring and finish his speech.

A spokesman for the New York City Police Department said the 26-year-old man hit Hart at least once and was still detained while charges were laid against him.
The WWE issued a statement in which it stated: "A fan too exuberant has surpbaded our security at the edge of the ring and made his way into the ring.
"The individual has been handed over to the proper authorities."
Hitman was inducted into the Hall of Fame as a member of "The Hart Foundation", the team duet he was participating alongside his late friend, Jim 'The Anvil & # 39; Neidhart, deceased last year.
Speaking of this honor last night, the proud Canadian tweeted: "In March 1985 in Jim Brantford, Ontario, Jim 'The Anvil' and Neidhart and I officially became the Hart Foundation." On April 6, 2019, we Let's take our place at the WWE Hall of Fame.I would like Jim to be with us again to celebrate this moment, but I know that he will be on stage with me in spirit. "
Neidhart's daughter, Natalya, accompanied Hart in the ring and was also shot on the ground during the attack.
Hart is one of four wrestlers – along with Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair and Booker T – to become WWE's Hall of Famer twice after he was inducted in 2006.
The shocking incident occurred the night before Wrestlemania 35.
