A freelance journalist in Eritrea

[ad_1]

Officially, I do not exist. I am a freelance journalist in the small country of Eritrea of East Africa who after 12 years here and more than 150 internationally published articles, I find that officially I do not have to do anything. does not exist.

According to international media there are no independent journalists in Eritrea many interviews on international news channels, they persist that I do not exist.

The Committee to Protect Journalists (aka the Committee of Suspicious Journalists) published an article on its website (Ethiopian Bombs Itself). As a freelance journalist in Eritrea, CPJ stated that I no longer existed in the annual report on press freedoms.

I contribute to independent sites in Africa and I am listed as a columnist in Ghana, Nigeria, Cameroon, Somalia, Eritrea, Kenya and Southeast Asia, among other countries, for years but that does not seem to matter, it still persists that I do not exist.

I have contributed Most of the 100 articles in the last 15 years to Counterpunch, which receives 2 million unique visitors each month, making it the largest English website left on the planet but not of independent journalists in our small country of East Africa. from Eritrea

Why can you ask? It may be because we are socialists, and although Ethiopia seems to be going in our direction, Eritrea remains, like Cuba in Latin America, the only socialist country in Africa.

Socialism is always bad, is not it? End of the conversation, what should you know about each other? Especially what it really is on the ground in Eritrea from an independent reporter.
