The coalition argues that the statue of the killed soldier should instead be mounted in Denkyira Obuasi, where he was killed almost two years ago, and not on La territory.

"Why there? Why not the place where he died or his hometown but they send it to us because La is a trash … We tell him we do not like it and we expect him to act. He has said to the whole country that he is a president to listen. He must listen to us. Maybe in a week we should expect to hear something. We expect to see something, " he said.

The monument responds to a request from the family of the deceased military officer.
