By the SF Chronicle:
"It was a misinterpretation of something I said," Kerr said. "We have cleared it up."
Bell came into play only at the quarter-hour mark of 8:39 when Golden State was up 123-92 over the Lakers. In nine minutes, Bell scored four points on two four-shots, two rebounds and one turnover.
When asked what he said to Bell after his fight with Kerr, Big Men said, "To stay focused on the game, do you know what I'm saying? We are all going through tough times throughout the NBA where we want to talk a little bit, but we may be frustrated with some things.
"I think the coach has shown the utmost frankness by letting the guys know about it, but also by challenging him. It is a healthy dialogue and a healthy relationship between us and the coach. "
