DGN Online learned that on March 17, 2019, at around 10:40 am, Bunkpurugu police received a distress call indicating that a group of Chokosis from Chereponi district had come and attacked the komkombas of Puloti village. .

They reportedly fired with firearms and burned 41 houses.

Unknown persons dressed in a military uniform aboard a light blue van would have gone to the town of Gbingbani and reportedly started firing. They killed Bilagai Mpila, who died, and burned two motorcycles belonging to his brother.

Four empty BB cartridges, two empty AA cartridges and two empty AK 47 shells were also found at the scene.

Community members gave the police a cell phone that they found on the premises, suspected of belonging to one of the perpetrators of the crime.

Oscar Liwaal, a police and military team, and the district chief of Yunyoo-Nasuan district, visited the crime scene in Gbingbani and Puloti.

Meanwhile, joint police and military patrols have intensified in Yunyoo-Nauan District to protect lives and property.

It will be remembered that a brawl broke out last year between Chokosis and Konkombas on a piece of land in Chereponi district.

The conflict resulted in the burning of more than 150 homes and caused about 15 deaths.
