Marriage At First Sight's contestant, Nic Jovanovic, revealed that he had been diagnosed with testicular cancer for the second time while filming the reality show.
Nic was diagnosed for the first time with cancer four years ago, but was "broken" to find out at Christmas last year.
"You think you're so young and have already faced it once, that's all," he says. Nine Honey. "And then at Christmas, I took a shower and I felt a feeling similar to the one you feel, as most men should, I also noticed a little kind of semi-hard bump at the end of my testicle left.
"Four years later … there was so much in my life, for it to come back, I'm still in shock, it's coming back to me," he said.
Nic, who was paired with Cyrell on Married at first sight, Told Nine Honey that he delayed his operation in order to be able to complete the shooting of the reality show.
"So (I) arrived on January 29th for an operation and, oddly enough, my wedding episode was repeated in the waiting room," he said.
"The nurses approach me confused, knowing my story after watching the series … but not knowing why I'm back."
After surgery and chemotherapy, Nic is once again free from cancer and wants to encourage anyone who notices abnormalities to be tested.
"I just want men, even women (to know) if something is wrong, that's for a reason," he said. Nine Honey. "Check, what is wrong?" It does not affect your ego.
