A man was arrested in France on Tuesday after allegedly stealing a van with more than $ 3.8 million in cash.

Adrien Derbez, 27, would work Monday with two other employees to deliver money in a security van, the BBC reported. When delivered to a Western Union branch in Aubervilliers, France, the van disappeared. Both employees went to deliver the money when they went out to find the vehicle and the driver left.

The van, from the Loomis cash-in-transit company, was discovered a few blocks from the branch, but the money and the driver disappeared.

The police asked the public for help to find the suspect. On Tuesday, police raided an apartment in Amiens after receiving a tip. Derberz reportedly tried to escape from the residence through a window but agents found him "carrying several bags full of banknotes," BFMTV reported.
