A man kills an elder brother with a club

Anyinam (E / R),
May 1, GNA – Eastern Police launched an investigation into the arrest of
Kwadwo Asamoah, better known as Akyem Boye, 40, for badaulting and killing
his older brother, Kwasi Asante, 46, at Adasewase near Anyinam, in East Atiwa
District of the eastern region.

The suspect,
Asamoah, allegedly hit the older brother with a club leading to his
the death after which he escaped.

Regional Public Police Relations Officer (PRO), Deputy Superintendent of Police
(DSP) Ebenezer Tetteh told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that the police had heard
about the incident and rushed to the village.

He said when
the police arrived at the village, they found the deceased's body lying in
State ready to be transported to the cemetery for burial.

DSP Tetteh said
physical inspection of the corpse revealed that the deceased blew from the
nostrils, head injuries, swollen eye on the right, bruises on the right
shoulder and a cut on the right thumb.

DSP Tetteh said
photographs were taken of the body of the deceased and the corpse deposited at
the morgue of the police hospital in Accra for autopsy and preservation.

He badured that
the police were doing everything possible to apprehend the suspect in order to help him
additional investigation.
