A man who "ate himself up to death" made incredible progress in losing weight, losing 10 kilos (63 kg) in less than four months.

In October, Darren McClintock's personal trainer banned him from playing prefer takeaway in order to fight against obesity that kills it slowly.

After just a week of diet and exercise, PT Mike Hind had helped Darren – akaDibsy – shed a stone. Amazingly, 15 weeks into his trip, he has now dropped 10st.

He is now able to go to the movies, ride a bike and even booked his first vacation in ten years.

After launching a terrifying ultimatum that he would die if he did not follow a diet, Mike visited each of Dibsy prefer fast food and had banished it.

Of course, this does not mean that it is not allowed to receive a treat sometimes – but Dibsy says he's lost interest in this.

He explained, "It was my birthday in December, and I volunteered to fish and chips but I ate half and threw it. I do not even like that anymore.

However, the trip was not easy and he encountered difficult days when he wanted to stop.

Dibsy's progress was followed and supported by his PT Mike, who put him on a strict exercise regimen and a diet that included two workout sessions each day – without any interruptions at Christmas or the day of his birthday.

The 35-year-old trainer put Dibsy on a high-protein diet, limiting it to 3000 calories a day. In the last 15 weeks, he has managed to remove about a million calories from his client's diet.

Mike said, "Dibsy was absolutely amazing, I'm so proud of the work he has done and the progress he has made.

"He knew it would be hard work, but he has his head in his eyes and he has an idea of ​​it, in my opinion it was a case of life and death.

"Yes Dibsy had not changed his life so that could have been the end for him.

"It's only the beginning; Dibsy will continue and live a healthy life. "

The next step Dibsy has to undergo a procedure called cardioversion that aims to bring back his abnormally fast heart rate to a normal rhythm.

By the end of 2019, he hopes to have reached stone 20.
