Kenyasi police stepped up their hunt for the man looking for a 35-year-old unemployed person who allegedly mbadacred a two-month-old baby in Wamahinso, a mining community in the Kenyan region. Ahafo.
The suspect, Frank Naro, attacked Selina Seidu, 25, on a farm and inflicted multiple injuries on her, as well as the girl.
Deputy Police Superintendent (DSP) Teddy Damteh Brown, who confirmed the story to the Ghana News Agency (GNA), said the incident had occurred on Thursday 1st August, around 1:30 pm
He said the victim, Seidu, was in critical condition and was receiving treatment at Hwidiem St Elizabeth Hospital, while the baby's body had been dropped off at the hospital morgue.
DSP Brown explained that the victim was working on his farm when the suspect, who was wearing a sharp machete, attacked him and the baby before he ran away.
Some neighbors around the farm heard the victim scream for help and rushed to the scene. They saw her and her baby in a pool of blood, but the baby died on arrival at the Gyedu Health Center.
