A Brazilian model died after falling ill and collapsing on the podium at Sao Paulo Fashion Week.
Tales Soares, 26, was taken ill Saturday at a fashion show for the Ocksa fashion brand in Brazil, according to organizers.
The model was attended by paramedics in front of horrified spectators and was transported to the hospital where he was declared dead.
Guests at the event had initially thought the fall was part of the dummy's behavior before the medical staff rushed to the scene to take care of Mr. Soares.

After the death of the model, images began to appear on social media showing the collapse of Mr. Soares shortly after making a quick turn on the track.
During the clip, Mr. Soares was seen walking on the track in front of hundreds of spectators before turning around as he approached the top of the podium.
When he turned around, the model seemed to stagger and quickly fell first on the track.
According to the Brazilian newspaper Folha Press, Mr Soares stumbled on his laces before falling.
It was also reported that the manikin quickly began to foam after falling.
A photo in the newspaper also showed the model lying on the podium while paramedics badisted him.
The organizers of the Sao Paulo Fashion Week said in a statement: "SPFW has just received the news of the death of the model Tales Soares, who became ill during the Ocksa show."

After quickly turning on the podium, the model seems to collapse and lose its balance.
The model falls to the ground and the medical staff rushes quickly to take him to the hospital.

Fashion designer Ocksa said on Instagram that her entire team was "shocked" by the death of Soares, who had signed a contract with the modeling agency Base MGT.
The statement has not provided more details and it is yet to confirm how the model is dead.
