With the iOS 4 update, a surprising number of iPhone and iPod Touch users report that a mysterious email with no content has appeared in their mailbox, all right from the Past: December 31, 1969. Let the conspiracy theories begin!
E-mails appear only in MobileMe or GMail accounts and appear without sender, subject of the content. Even stranger, e-mail can not be deleted: once you have received 1969, you can not go back.
The good news is that there are solutions, but they are often temporary and one of them includes 34 separate steps. No official word from Apple has yet been announced to know if they will fix the problem, or what all that means … but somehow, I guess, everything is related to Roswell.
