EDMONTON (660 NEWS) – There are ongoing lawsuits against a man who allegedly lit a number of burning vehicles in Edmonton.

At around 8:40 pm on Friday, police received reports that a man had poured gasoline onto vehicles and burned them in the vicinity of 104 St. and 83 Ave.

"You could see in the street that there was, as if the car over there had the wheels on fire. There was a guy walking down the street, he had a gas can and it was like spraying cars and it was pretty scary, "said Sky Johnson, who works at a nearby café.

Ross Lockwood filmed the incident.

"As soon as he dropped the jerry, you can see a big change in the mindset of the crowd. Everyone has gone from monitoring mode to action mode. "

After the fire of 13 cars last night, the video became viral.

Today, I spoke with Ross Lockwood, who said that he initially filmed the video for evidence. He gives props to all good Samaritans with fire extinguishers, a Hawaiian guy and EPS. #YEG #WhyteAve pic.twitter.com/P8LDTNZPeS
