A petition calling on the UK to repeal Article 50 and stay in the EU has collected more than four million signatures in less than three days.
At 2:30 pm on Saturday, it had attracted more than 4.2 million names, making it the most popular name ever seen on the UK parliament website.
"The government repeatedly baderts that the exit of the EU is" the will of the people, "" we read. "We must put an end to this claim by proving the strength of current public support to stay in the EU.A popular vote may not take place – so vote now"
Petitions with more than 100,000 signatures are automatically considered for debate in parliament.

The petition was published Wednesday evening by Margaret Anne Georgiadou. He collected more than 100,000 signatures in the first two hours.
The petition was so successful that the page of the UK parliament website crashed for several hours on Thursday morning.
"Nearly 2,000 signatures are completed every minute", the Petitions Committee of the British Parliament says on Twitter. "The number of signatures is the highest that the site has ever had to deal with and we had to make some changes to keep the site stable and open to signatures and new petitions."
A map of participants in the petition showed many remains in Edinburgh, London, Bristol, Cambridge and Brighton.
Thursday, the 10 most represented constituencies were:

5. Cambridge: 5419 (MP Daniel Zeichner)
6. London Islington North: 4938 (MP Jeremy Corbyn)
7. London Hackney North: 4745 (MP for Diane Abbott)
8. London Hampstead and Kilburn: 4462 (MP Tulip Siddiq)
9. London Holborn and Saint Pancras: 4584 (Member of Parliament for Keir Starmer)
10. Oxford East: 4180 (MP Anneliese Dodds)

A previous petition calling for "revoking Article 50 if there was no Brexit plan by 25 February" had received 136,400 signatures and had subsequently been debated at the House of Commons, March 11th. You can read the transcript of the debate here.
