(KCTV) – A popular blood pressure drug is being recalled for possible carcinogens.
Teva Pharmaceuticals recalls 35 batches of bulk Losartan Potbadium US tablets, dosed at 25 and 100 milligrams.
The company says the tablets may have been contaminated with an impurity that can cause cancer.
However, Teva says the increased risk would be to stop taking the drug.
Patients should contact their pharmacist or doctor for advice.
More details on the recall can be found at FDA.gov.
