A South African pilot identified as Charl Viljoen, died after allegedly crashing a plane in order to kill his wife. However, the pilot was the only one to have died during the incident.
According to The Citizen, the angry man decided to crash the plane after his wife and himself had been involved in spitting at an event.
The incident occurred in Botswana after the man had stolen the plane from a runway.

Charl, a Kalahari Air Services employee based in Botswana, was reportedly drunk at the party and asked to leave. He then decided to hit the plane in a building where his wife was attending a baby shower.

It was determined that the accident caused significant damage to the runway, control tower and parked vehicles.
Police in Botswana said investigations into the case had been launched. Charl and his wife worked and lived in Botswana for 10 years before his death.
