The Russian city of Krasnoyarsk recently hosted the country 's first amateur championship to slap, to which the participants slapped themselves until one of them was eliminated.

A similar competition took place last year in Moscow, but it included only professional athletes competing for the unofficial title of the most brutal slapper.

The rules of this amateur facial makeup championship are still a little obscure, but after what I could understand from various Russian sources, competitors clashed on a small table similar to those used in competitions of arm wrestling and hit each other. on the face with the palm of their hands.
Ideally, one of the two men would be knocked out by the slap, but if both men remained standing after three slaps, a judge would decide the winner based on his power and technique.
Although facial mutilation is not (yet) an official sport, the competition had some simple rules. Participants were not allowed to hit their opponents with the lower part of the palm of their hand, but only with the fingers and the upper half of the palm of the hand, in order to avoid causing serious injury.
They were also forbidden to target the temples, ears and eyes of their opponents. These measures were designed to protect competitors, but when you are a middleweight man who gets slapped by a heavy farmer who weighs 350 pounds, it does not help much.
Apparently, the organizers of this championship did not think it was necessary to have different weight clbades, which allowed Vasily Kamotsky, 28, a 168 kg farmer and fitness enthusiast, to decimate the competition. Most of the men he fought against were about half his size, and their slaps did not seem to bother him at all, as his big hands literally knocked many opponents over. You can even see him restrain himself after almost knocking out his first opponent.
Kamotsky easily won the facial makeup contest. While it received only 30,000 rubles ($ 470), it also became sensational overnight after the viral broadcast of contest videos on the Internet.
The organizers have already invited him to participate in another facial makeup contest, this time against professional athletes, who, they hope, will prove more competitive.
