YEN.com.gh is in possession of photos of a scrap dealer arrested for stealing fuses owned by Power Distribution Services.
The suspect, Mohammed Awal, an 18-year-old metal scrapper, stole the fuses at a PDS substation in Tema.
According to a report from Dailyguidenetwork.com, the fuses were recovered in a scrap yard.

Christopher Apawu, acting head of PDS district in Tema South, explained that recently PDS was receiving information from community residents who complained of power outages.

He added that when the PDS outage team reached the substations, she realized that all the fuses on the distribution pillars had been removed by strangers.
Apawu added that a complaint had been filed with the Community 2 Distruct Police Command for the initiation of an investigation.

"But for two weeks, the theft rate of these fuses has increased significantly. Every day, we receive reports of breakdowns and we arrived there just to find the stolen fuses ", he said.
Available information shows that until Thursday, June 13, 2019, the suspect lived near the substation.
