A video of an unidentified man apprehended and interrogated by residents of the Igarra Akoko region in Edo after allegedly stealing female underwear became viral.
In the clip, the young man who was caught with a number of used female underwear confessed to being sent by a man for the operation. He revealed that he had been promised to leave GHc460 if he could steal female underwear and take them to an undisclosed location.
The young man whose name was not mentioned said that it was the first time that he was doing it and that he had never done it before before getting caught.

Eyewitnesses recounted that the suspect had disguised himself to sell ice cream to students, but that he had come out with more items in his bag than he did. Was never returned to the hostel.
