Rabat – A teenager ran in front of King Mohammed VI's car after Pope Francis arrived in Morocco on Saturday.

The boy ran in front of King Mohammed VI while he was standing in an open-top car to wave to the crowd in Rabat.

The security guards of King Mohammed VI quickly reacted to prevent the man from reaching the king's car.

The General Directorate of National Security of Morocco (DGSN) declared that the speaker who had intervened in the royal protocol was a minor.

The statement published by MAP indicates that the 17-year-old lives in Salé. He was trying to approach the king to complain about his parents' health problems.
